You know it’s coming, the excitement is building, and you can almost taste it. It’s that time of year again! That’s right, I’m talking about the Google Nexus 5. Technically, the device is still “just a rumor.” However, with the leaked service manual, there seems to be strong indication that this device will be a true high-end powerhouse.
The Google Nexus 5 will serve as the successor to the popular LG-produced Google Nexus 4. Its name can be viewed as stemming both from the fact that it is the fifth Nexus phone, as well as its 5″ (technically 4.95″) 1080p screen. The impressive screen will be backed by a quad-core 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 processor featuring four Krait 400 CPUs and an Adreno 330 GPU. The device will feature 2 gigs of RAM and 16 or 32 gigs of internal storage. It will likely sport an 8 MP rear shooter with optical image stabilization, as well as a 1.3 MP front camera. It will feature LTE connectivity and a new pressure sensor. All of these features will be powered by a respectably-sized 2300 mAh battery.
