We first discussed the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 not too long ago when kernel source had been released weeks before the release of the device itself. Upon release, we were happy to see that it was promptly rooted by XDA Senior Member zedomax, with the help of Chainfire’s SuperSU. Now, we are happy to announce that the Note 10.1 has its own place in our forums.
Although the original Samsung Galaxy Note held a unique product segment by being neither traditional tablet nor traditional phone, the Galaxy Note 10.1 is clearly a tablet. And while it differs dramatically in form factor, the new device packs some features from its namesake by including S-Pen support. It also features quite a healthy specs sheet, with a quad-core 1.4 GHz Samsung Exynos 4412 processor that is backed by 2 GB of RAM and up to 64 GB pf storage. It also features a 10.1″ PLS screen with a 1280×800 resolution. All of this is backed by a 7000 mAh batter, and crammed into a slim and lightweight package weighing just 600 grams and measuring a measly 8.9 mm.
