This announcement comes amid strong speculaton that such an update was imminent, and by the time you read this article the package should be available for download to your device.
Although unofficial, Froyo-based ROMs have been available for the Droid Incredible for some time, the official release will see much better integration of the new Android release with the phone’s hardware in addition to HTC’s appealing Sense interface.
Among the improvements, are the ability to record video in 720p resolution, support for 802.11n specification WiFi and Flash 10.1 in the improved browser.
Although the update should find its own way to your phone, you can force your Incredible to check for updates by selecting Settings, About phone and then System software updates, then by pressing the ‘check now’ button.
