Froyo Ported to HTC Vogue

Although, it is only in very early stages of development, XDA member dzo is in the process of porting the latest Android OS to the Vogue. Based on the AOSP released by Google, he has managed to get a booting version for the Vogue. The build is still not complete and many features needed for everyday use are probably not functional. However, this is a huge step in the life of a device which simply refuses to die.
I’ve been having a look at Froyo and have built a very basic install image.
All I did was compile the latest aosp master branch and add the ril. Audio compiles (after a few changes) but doesn’t work yet. HW3D works and the network probably works too. Calls and sms should probably work but it’s not really ready for use yet. This is a very minimal image without any google apps just to show that it works.
You will need the 320×240 eclair kernel from today to test this because it does some new things with the 2D graphics driver.
You can find more information in the port thread.
