When I discovered this thread, it shocked me slightly as to the fact that it hasn’t received more ‘buzz’. ADW, to me, has always been a pretty dandy launcher. It’s always ran quickly, had awesome customising options and rarely crashed (if ever). That’s why when I found out ADW has a second version in beta, posted by XDA member cruzin_cruzing, I got a little excited. I quickly downloaded the launcher onto my phone so that I could begin testing it for you all.
A cool feature that has been added is the ability to long press on a widget and be presented with a variety of options. These options include shortcuts to Application Info, the ability to share the widget on any social network installed, resizing the widget and the Market listing for that widget.

ADW Launcher 2 (Beta)
When you are on a home screen and long press on a widget, you now see more options than before including shortcuts to the Application info and Market pages for the app. You can also quickly set up custom shortcuts using ADW’s menus rather than the standard Android process.
You can also do the same within the app drawer, however, unlike with the widgets, the option to change the name and icon of an app has been added, which is as simple as selecting an icon from any icon pack on your SD card. You can also add folders in the app drawer, allowing you to maintain an organised phone, rather than having to search through a ton of applications for the one you want to use.
These new app drawer functions are probably the most impressive. You can now long press on apps from within the drawer to see a variety of options, giving you more control over the look and feel.
The ‘swipe up’ and ‘down’ functions don’t seem to be working for me yet, however, this is in beta, so that’s perfectly okay. I’m sure this function will be fixed soon, or is just broken for me. I’d definitely recommend heading over to the original thread and grabbing this app!
