Do you spend a lot of time staring at your computer monitor, browsing the Internet, or working? I bet you do. Our Android devices aren’t always in use, and sometimes they take a break, charging with ADB mode enabled. Missing an SMS is very easy, as sometimes our devices are silenced. Not too long ago, we talked about you Pushbullet, a great app to communicate between your devices. Now there is another solution to get notifications about incoming SMS messages, directly on your PC monitor.
XDA Forum Member DJKMan wrote a Windows application to manage the notifications from your devices using the ADB protocol. As you know, there are severals ways of connecting your device to your PC. The application currently works with SMS only (MMS aren’t confirmed to be working yet), and it get logs of ADB radio to determine when a new message is received. It’s very simple to use, and your phone doesn’t need to be rooted. The only prerequisites are USB debugging turned on to get ADB working and a PC with Windows installed.
