We certainly hope that you are getting ready to eat to your heart’s content while talking about apps, kernels, roms, and development in general with other community members. Yup! The Big Android BBQ is getting closer and closer, but if you thought that the organization was already done, you are sadly mistaken. As it turns out, the event just got 4 more sponsors for the event, taking the total number into the twenties. Here is the original announcement:
Verizon, Swappa, Adobe and Orbotix to Sponsor Big Android BBQ
With the Big Android BBQ just 21 days away, the event continues to gather steam as four more mobile related companies have come on board to bring some exciting technology to the Android faithful who will be flocking to Austin at the end of this month.
With the addition of Verizon, Swappa, Adobe and Orbotix, the number of Sponsors and Exhibitors has risen to twenty-seven, more than four times of what the event had last year. The staff of the BBQ is excited to be able to provide attendees with a broad spectrum of Android related devices, apps and ideas for their viewing pleasure.
Aaron Kasten, the Big Android BBQ Organizer is excited about the validation the event is receiving from several big name companies:
“With companies like Verizon, Adobe, Swappa and Orbotix coming on board with us, it shows the world that the BBQ is the real deal, that they realize we are serious about bringing together the Android Community with them in one place. I am really excited about the idea of a normal everyday Android user being able to meet with some experts from Adobe and talk shop. That is not a thing that can happen every day. I am really pleased with our sponsor corps and the progress the volunteer staff has made in bringing these companies on board.”
Along with Adobe and Orbotix, Verizon has agreed to come on board as a sponsor, and hold a panel during the Saturday sessions dealing with their lightning fast LTE technologies. Adobe will focus on helping developers and users work with their mobile offerings, and Orbotix will be talking about developing applications to be used with their Sphero balls.
Rounding things out, Swappa.com, the online market place that makes it easy for anyone to buy and sell fully functional, gently used Android devices, has come on as a sponsor to introduce people to their service, as well as facilitating live “Swappa meet” during the BBQ.
