Gingerbread — A thing of beauty. Wait, what? You use Gingerbread because of what? The on and off animation? Well… actually, so do I.
The same goes for XDA member doixanh, who loves the Gingerbread animations, and is looking for a way to let all of you Froyo users get a piece of the action! Several videos have been provided of the animations in action, progressively getting better and better. The current status of the animations is:
- Screen on : Good.
- Screen off : Good.
- Animation when screen timed out : Partially.
This hasn’t been released yet, due to the developer wanting to make sure it works perfectly, and he has kindly asked that you do not ask when it will be released. However, if you are a developer and you would like to help finish off this port so that it is ready for the wide-world to get their mits onto, head on over to the original thread and lend a hand!
