Gingerbread Themes for Android MDPI Devices

Gingerbread is on everybody’s mouth and if your device did not have yet a ROM with it, themes will help you cope with the wait. XDA member joenathane prepared a couple of themes with the new operating system style.
These themes are available separately for the Huawei Ascend and for any other MDPI devices and we can find also a version of metamorph theme that is still on beta but is usable.
The developer mentions that you should make sure your phone is rooted, you have busbox downloaded and installed, and that usb debugging is turned on.

Im working on a Gingerbread based theme for the Huawei Ascend, it’s almost complete but I’m running into some issues trying to change the text color in the notification bar and some other places where text is no longer visible because it’s black on black. If anyone here can help please let me know(everywhere I’ve searched has only come up with useless info, like there in nothing in the Ascend’s services.jar and i’ve changed what I could in the statusbar xml’s). I’ve attached some screenshots of the theme in action. There are many more changes not visible in the screenshots, the majority of the framework-res have been updated to match the new theme.
I’d appreciate any help anyone could offer, thanks!
Continue to the theme’s original thread.
