Google Chrometophone for Froyo

With the announcement of Froyo, comes a new feature that enables Android users to send links from your desktop to your Android device seamlessly.
Google ‘Chrometophone’ consists of a Chrome extension, an Android app, and a supporting AppEngine server that enables users to send links using Android’s Cloud to Device Messaging service (C2DM Framework).
In order to take advantage of the functionality, Android users must install the Chrome extension and corresponding Chrometophone application on your Froyo devices. User data will then be pushed from your Chrome browser where data is stored in the cloud.
XDA forum member spazoid has helpfully posted a tutorial on how to install and set up your device. Firefox users should not despair since spazoid has also posted that a Firefox extension is also available.
It will be fascinating to see what interesting applications developers can come up with using this new feature!
