We recently talked about the Google Glass XE17.1 update. For those in need of a little refresher, XE17.1 brought quite a few goodies such as the ability to share places from Google Maps on Android directly with Google Glass using the MyGlass 3.0.0 app.
Now just five days later, Glass has been updated yet again—this time, to XE17.2. Google first announced XE17.2 earlier today, citing that this release would bring various bug fixes. This includes better low power handling when extremely low on juice. In instances like this, rather than simply not turning on, Glass will display the icon in the screenshot to your right.
Naturally, this update will start rolling out to Glass Explorer Edition devices over the next few days. At this time, however, the rollout has not yet begun. Additionally, Google has not yet updated the Google Glass Factory Images page to reflect the XE17.2 update. Luckily, XDA Forum Member hedsick was kind enough to discover and share the XE17.2 factory image link, while yours truly posted the pre-rooted boot image for the XE17.2 update.
