Guide to Compile ClockworkMod Recovery

Spend any amount of time here on XDA, and you’re bound to run across the venerable ClockworkMod recovery. If obtaining root access is the first step to modding bliss, most would agree that flashing a custom recovery is the next step. In most cases, if a device has a forum here on XDA, it most likely has a solid custom recovery. However, this is not always the case.
Now, thanks to XDA Recognized Contributor shaaan, those wanting to attempt to compile CWM recovery now have a guide. They say necessity is the mother of invention, and that seems to be the case here. After searching to no avail, shaaan went ahead and put together a straightforward, no frills guide for compiling your own CWM recovery. One requirement is that you are running Ubuntu and hopefully know how to use it.
If you would like to build your own CWM and are versed in Ubuntu, head on down to shaaan’s guide thread and check it out.
