Android is all about tailoring the end-user experience to your liking. We have AOSP-built ROMs, themes, kernels, mods, and so on. However, one area traditionally lagging somewhat behind the rest is modified applications. This is partially due to the fact that messing around in smali is a royal pain in the gluteus maximus—that is, until now.
In order to make the experience a tad less painful, XDA forum member Diamondback2010 has created Virtuous Ten Studio. With this application suite, editing smali and M10 is no longer a nightmare.
Currently, Virtuous Ten Studio is in closed alpha / beta testing. Luckily for us, however, the Virtuous Team are looking for testers who meet the following criteria:
The goal of this thread is to find good testers as the app itself isn’t finished yet.
The alpha/beta testers should be the following:
- Experienced in smali or M10 editing
- Good at testing, trying different things
- Testers should be willing to test lots of new versions and quick fixes
- They need to report in detail what they were doing if they find a bug/problem
- personal contact via IRC or email (IRC preferred)
If application modification is your thing and you feel like joining the testing team, continue on to the original thread!
Not satisfied with simply becoming an alpha / beta tester, and wish to actively contribute to the project? We’ve also got you covered! The Virtuous Team is looking for a couple of experienced C# or C++ programmers as well. Details can be found here._________
