A concept that has started popping up as of recently is the new breed of apps called AR or Augmented Reality. If you are not familiar with this concept, the basic premise is that you use the world around you via the phone’s camera to interact with the app. In this case, XDA member kexar released a game called AR Blitz, in which the objective is to shoot down combos of colored geometric shapes which are popping from a grid for one minute. The game itself is not what called our attention but rather the concept that you need to have a mat, which is recognized by your device as the playing field. The animations and 3D effects are still pretty good and we are sure that we will see this new concept of print outs in other apps very soon. You will need a fairly powerful device for the app to work correctly.
The dev is looking for feedback on this, so please step in and give it a shot.
