How To Defeat Data Throttling

If you are one of the many customers who has paid for unlimited data on your network plan, then you may also be one of the many customers who have been subject to data throttling by your network.
There is a way, however, to get around this, provided that you use a normal amount of data (i.e. not downloading torrents) and XDA forum member sino8r has written instructions for all to share. If you find it a little difficult to follow, XDA member dictionary has helpfully organised the instructions into easy to read steps in the second post of the thread.
You will need to have the Android SDK, adb and drivers set up. Additionally, you’ll need to be able to make a backup of your current ROM via Nandroid and be familiar with smali.
To find the detailed steps and links to the requirements, visit the tutorial thread.
