I9000 Enjoys Official Froyo Upgrade

Many people had waited for a while, but it finally happened. Samsung will be officially releasing a Froyo update for the Samsung Galaxy S I9000. However, thanks to XDA member leoon, device owners can enjoy Froyo goodness right here, right now. A leaked official version has been posted and many members are already flashing it to their devices. Having said that, feedback on it seems mixed as some people who were eagerly waiting for it, seem to be less than amused by the number of fixes and improvements present in the new rom.
The good thing about it is that the rom itself will probably serve as an improved base for other more tweaked roms. Meaning, better drivers, updated versions of a few stock pieces of software, and more. Remember, the fact that you are on xda-developers, more than likely means that you will not stay with your stock rom for long anyways. So, sit back and try to rip the benefits of this new release by the manufacturer.
Yea according to SamFirmware (The site we all get our firmwares from) the JPM release is the official 2.2 Froyo release for the I9000!!
You can find more information in the leak thread.
