Just as we said a few days ago when the ICS SDK and sources surfaced across the web, it was simply a matter of time before we started seeing devices with ports all across the web. The first one that apparently showed up during this past weekend was the port for the Nexus One. Now, it was brought to our attention that several other devices are getting ports although a few of them are having some issues getting off the ground. The Nexus S seems to not be having this problem because XDA member HAKA has released a working port for it. As it has been the case since the beginning of time on xda, the ports are always works in progress, but this one seems to be doing rather well to be so young (about 4 days old and counting). It seems that the core functionality is all there including a buggy but usable camera, 3G, and a few other things that are normally broken in most ports, until they get fixed, that is.
Again, do not expect this to be a “working out of the box” kinda deal, but you can certainly get a taste of what is yet to come before the year end hits. Please take it for a spin and leave some feedback so that the dev can keep ironing out the bugs.
