As many of you probably know, the Samsung Galaxy S 2 is not out in the US just yet. However, thanks to tthis global economy of ours, this simple fact does not prevent people in thr US from getting one. If you are among the lucky few with one of these and are currently using AT&T as your carrier, you will likely notice that the speeds on the carrier’s 3G network should be somewhat better. Apparently, the APN settings that govern the data parameters in the device are not optimal for being us with this carrier (which makes sense considering that this is not even out yet). Luckily for you, XDA member locust43 has found all the correct settings for your downloads and uploads to be acceptable once more and decided to write a guide with all this information and how to change it. Modifying the APN should have no weird side effects on your device. However, you can always make a back up in case you’d like to revert back to the original.
Please leave some feedback and comments if these settings worked well for you.
This is a Fix it guide I wrote for AT&T user’s. These are the correct settings for your AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II
I hope this helps everyone who has been possibly experiencing slower speed’s on AT&T Mobility.
1′st, make sure you are on the CORRECT data plan.
You can find more information in the guide thread.
