Install Fixed TouchWiz Task Manager on CyanogenMod 9/10

Install Fixed TouchWiz Task Manager on CyanogenMod 9/10

A couple of years back, we shared with you our view on Android task managers, and why it’s best to stay away from them for most part. However, at times you just have to use one for that stubborn stuck app that isn’t closing. CyanogenMod 9 and 10 ROMs don’t ship with a task manager by default, and if you have just moved from a TouchWiz-based ROM to CM on your Samsung device, we’ve got good news for you. XDA Senior Member ammar786 has taken the TouchWiz Task Manager and modified it to work on CM9 and CM10 ROMs.

While posted in the Samsung Galaxy SL i9003 forum, the fixed Task Manager should work on any CM9 or CM10 ROM, and likely on ROMs based on these as well. In our testing, it worked perfectly fine on a Nexus S running the latest CM10 nightly.

The app is available in form of an APK file that you must install to /system/app, as installing it as a normal app doesn’t work. The download link, installation instructions and more information can be found in the original thread.
