Installer For 2ndInit Recovery Mod

If you’ve been following the developments for the 2nd init mod for the Defy, then you’ll be interested in this installer by XDA forum member pedrodh.

The original mod by XDA member ksubedi brings up a pre-boot menu that loads just before the Android system starts, which allows you to enter recovery, start adb daemon, run 2nd init script, run 2nd boot and more.

This installer automates the process of installing/uninstalling and makes it possible to load custom ROMs, and boot into CWM recovery without needing to use an app every time to boot to recovery.

Note that this app and the 2nd init itself do not replace the stock bootloader, or the stock recovery. You’ll also need root access to use this application.
