One defining new feature of Jelly Bean is the status bar toggle menu. Numerous mods and ports have been introduced for various devices running older Android versions allowing the same experience. However, root access is needed and they’re not available for a vast amount of devices out there. Well worry no more, because an app called Quick Settings popped up on XDA.
Developed by XDA Recognized Contributor mDroidd, Quick Settings is an app that gives users of Android versions 2.3 and newer the same toggles as those found in Jelly Bean. Once started, the app displays a notification in the notification area emulating the time, day, and date of the notification area found on Jelly Bean. Upon selection, the neat rows of toggles appear with the same aesthetic design and appearance of Jelly Bean toggles. A selection of customization options are offered, among them being the ability to enable or disable certain toggles, rearrange the order of toggles, and choosing how many toggles per row.
Available for free with a Pro version in the Play store, Quick Settings is perhaps the most useful alternative for any Android user without root access or a suitable update path to the newest Android version.
