Keep Track of Your Battery, Zelda Style

We all love customizing our devices to reflect our inner selves and express how we truly see the world, or at the very least, how we would like to see it. A little of nostalgia for those old school Game Boy and classic NES/SNES addicts who spent countless hours in front of our screens playing Zelda’s different versions. XDA forum member notasimpleway developed his first widget as a battery tracking one, represented by 8-bit heart energy containers. The hearts will get depleted as your battery does as well. On top of that, the charging effect also is animated and to top things off, the dev mentioned that there is an Easter egg hidden somewhere in the app.
The app is still in somewhat initial stages but it is filled with options and it will give your Legend of Zelda themed device (there is an idea if you hadn’t thought about it) something to complete it. Please take this for a spin and leave some feedback for the dev if you find any bugs or simply would like a feature added.
This is one of my first real attempts at an app. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s for us old school gamers. This app is a widget that just keeps track of the battery % in the form of 8-bit looking hearts that deplete as the battery discharges.
