Most of the time, having your device’s screen shut off when not in use is a good thing. There are certain times, however, when a display timeout isn’t exactly convenient. While features like Smart Stay are aimed at solving this problem, the feature doesn’t work consistently for everyone, and not everyone has a Samsung device.
In order to provide you with more control over your device’s screen state, XDA Forum Member abudgx created Stay Alive. The application allows you to keep your display alive (and not dimmed) while using a specific app, performing a task, and so on.
Stay Alive is highly configurable as well. It allows you to specify when exactly the function is active. For example, you can have the functionality only work when you are past a minimum battery level or are plugged in. You can also have the functionality disable itself when you connect to a docking station, as well as pause the functionality when not needed. Finally, a status bar notification (pictured in the title image) allows you to easily and quickly change between the app’s different modes.
The application is available completely free, without ads over in the application thread. Be sure to leave feedback for the developers in the thread._________
