You may recall that late last month the AT&T and T-Mobile variants of LG’s flagship G2 were starting to receive their official updates to Android 4.4.2 KitKat. While the former arrived in the form of an incremental OTA update, the latter was disseminated as a 1.5 GB full KDZ firmware package. Luckily, we also covered how to create a flashable Zip from the aforementioned KDZ.
Now the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update has appeared for Canadian carrier variants of the LG G2 D803. And as was the case with the T-Mobile update, it comes as a full KDZ update.
This update brings all the same goodies that we come to expect from LG’s take on 4.4.2. This includes UI refinements, improved battery life, faster performance, and an improved “knock on” feature. XDA Senior Member Idan73 was kind enough to share the KDZ link for the Rogers variant in this post. Not too long after, the other Canadian carriers were promptly added to Senior Member BigBoyPL‘s official firmware repository.
Make your way over to the firmware discussion thread as well as BigBoyPL’s firmware repository to learn more and get in on the discussion. And if you want to create a flashable Zip from the KDZ, be sure to head over to this guide by Senior Member somboons.
