Know Your XDA Worth with Unofficial XDA Credibility App

Many of us here at XDA pride ourselves in having built a good enough reputation that, despite us being under the veil of Internet anonymity, will follow us to our graves. Now, “how” that reputation is measured will vary based on people’s individual perception of what is truly important for users and developers alike. Many will rely solely on the Thanks Meter, while others trust the post count 100%. However, there is no standard set of criteria that determines anyone’s worth on the site due to everyone contributing to the community in different ways. Also, because of the large user base, trying to categorize everything and everyone, and attempting to create a scoreboard out of well over 5 million members would probably bring the servers to their knees.
Because some people enjoy challenges and like to execute original ideas, XDA Recognized Themer fernando sor decided to try and put a touch of standardization. He created an app called XDA Credibility, which essentially uses an algorithm that combines any and all possible metrics that our site can record (e.g. post count, thanks count, year joined, thread counts, etc), along with things like status and even contributions. The app grabs all the data, assigns values to each entry, and yields a composite score. This score is then compared against a master list that is comprised of other users of the app. This last point is important because, well, the app’s user base is still small. However, there is always hope that it will grow more to give you a clearer picture of how well you rank on the site.
One thing worth mentioning is that the app is not official in any capacity, and the XDA team had nothing to do with the development or algorithm used. Having said this, this is a unique concept and certainly worth a shot. Please leave feedback so that the dev can work out any kinks the app may have.
