LG G2x and Optimus 2x Say Hello to CyanogenMod 7

Due to it being T-Mobile’s latest flagship device, it comes as no surprise to learn that the powerful LG G2x and its world-travelling cousin, the Optimus 2x, have been given their first official builds of the most popular custom ROM on Earth: CyanogenMod.
Nightly builds popped up for both the P990 (Optimus 2x) and the P999 (G2x) earlier today. Although they are official releases from the CyanogenMod team, as opposed to ports by other developers, the fact that these are only ‘nightlies’ hints that they may not at the moment be completely stable or bug-free. Known problems include issues with video capture, audio and auto-brightness.
Nonetheless, if you’ve been dying to try out the Gingerbread-based CyanogenMod 7 for your shiny new LG, it’s now a possibility. Download links can be found in this thread for the Optimus 2x and this thread for the G2x (make sure you pick the right one!).
