LG Revolution Owners Can Keep Root Through Latest OTA

As we’ve mentioned before, keeping root through an OTA update can sometimes be tricky. If users are not vigilant, they may end up “upgrading” to an OTA where the root method has been patched, leaving tinkerers in the cold until a new root method is discovered. It’s generally always best to wait for a rooted update. While a rooted version of the latest update isn’t yet available on the LG Revolution, you can now retain root through the OTA update.
XDA Senior Member mtmichaelson, who’s already brought some helpful tools to the Revolution before, has written up a nice, easy and short method to help users keep root through the OTA update. The method is pretty simple. First, users need to be on the ZV7 firmware. From there, you flash a quick mod in recovery and flash the OTA. Finally, you flash an included .bat that gets you back onto a custom recovery.
