Line Hockey Turns Regular Hockey Into a Chess Game

We don’t talk about sports much here on XDA mostly because we’re a development forum and not a sports forum. However, every now and then, the two intertwine. Examples include Google Now adding more sports teams or the release and subsequent take down of a BBC Olympics app. Now there’s a hockey game for Android that turns the fast sport into what is essentially a chess match.
XDA Forum Member aitimo has released the simple game for Android and is looking for testers. The controls for the game are pretty simple, as the app description states:
You can move in 8 directions. Can not go on the marked line. From the marked chips can rebounding, this gives an extra turn. You can bounce from the boards. You can bounce some time. The player will lose if he does not remain variants to move. Goal of the game to score a the puck in gate of the opponent. Guard its gates.
Despite the easy instructions, the game is actually pretty challenging. Gamers can play vs one another or vs the computer. They have to figure out how to get past each other to score goals. It’s not the hockey we know and love, but it’s definitely something fun to waste a few minutes. As hockey fans well know, the NHL is in the middle of a lockout right now. Some hockey is better than no hockey.
