We here at the XDA Portal are big fans of providing developers with logcats when a problem arises. They can help determine what the problem is on a variety of issues, and give developers a better idea of how to fix those problems. There is now a tool that grabs logcats, last_kmsg, and pretty much any other log file you could want.
XDA Senior Member wcypierre has released a tool called AIOlog, which is (as the name implies) an all-in-one logging tool. It is also open source. The purpose of the tool is to allow users to grab logs from any sorts of places. The logs it can view and pull include:
In addition, you can view your kernel version, log all of the above at once, and enable continuous logging. To use, turn on USB Debugging on the device, download the script, and run it. It opens a menu where you can make your selections. This tool can be very useful. Most people who hang around XDA long enough know what a logcat is. However, the others aren’t used as often, and fewer users know what they are. This gives a nice interface to grab any kind of log you need if you need it.
