You may recall a while back, almost right after the HTC Sensation port became available, that there was an article about instructions provided by XDA member r2DoesInc on how to help with porting the new Sense 3.0 base along with all of its 3D-licious widgets. In this article, the developer also mentions that one of the biggest hurdles in porting this was a set of files with extension .m10 that were all throughout the rom, which were basically files that included several parameters and pieces of code needed for the port as well as all the needed tools to resize the images for lower resolution devices, but that were all encoded in non readable format and that they contained values and parameters of unknown purpose.
In order to solve this problem, XDA members Flemmard and Diamondback2010 have created a compiler / decompiler to use with these .m10 files. Being able to see and edit what is in these files should be extremely helpful in the process of porting into older devices. So, even though this was posted in the Desire HD section, it should be an invaluable tool or any devs working on the port, regardless of the device being worked on.
The tools are currently in alpha stage and will be released shortly. If you find anything interesting, make sure that you share your findings with the rest of your respective community.
We now have an m10 decoder. This should make us able to resize things at will. All credits to Flemmard and Diamondback
The devs have not made an official thread for their official release yet and have kindly asked that whatever versions are floating around to not be used. Please be advised that these versions floating around in other threads are not supported.
