There are many delightful apps to help create and read QR codes, but sometimes it’s helpful to have an even easier method of creating codes rather than downloading an app. Speed is everything in this day and age.
XDA member 96edwy has created a short and simple video tutorial on how to create your very own QR code using Google’s URL shortener. And frankly, the process couldn’t be simpler.
If you want to watch the video, you can do it by following the usual “original thread” link below Having said that, let me break it down:
Go to Google’s URL shortener, Goo.gl.
Copy your desired URL into the text box, generate your short URL and copy it into your address bar.
Add “.qr” onto the end of your newly generated short URL and hit enter.
You will be presented with a QR code.
How much simpler could it get? And it’s a great resource for anyone sharing apps on XDA, too. This will save many users the trouble of downloading an apk, turning on USB, transferring the app, turning off USB, and navigating to find said app.
If you want to start generating your own QR codes, head on over to the original thread and watch the video!_________
