The joy of flashing things on our devices is one of the main reasons smartphones have gone as far as they have gone. However, many often times it comes at a bit of a price. Flashing things forces you to “evacuate” your device, normally by performing a full ROM back up via recovery (nandroid) or through some other apps like Titanium Backup, which requires root. The Play store makes things a bit easy as well, since it can restore your missing apps once you set up your Google account on the device. The problem here is that many often times you need to have a rooted or an unlocked device to perform backups.
Due to the aforementioned and some additional inconveniences, XDA Recognized Developer Goddchen has decided to take a crack at the back up world and he ended up creating Easy App Toolbox. If you have used Titanium Backup, you will certainly appreciate and be familiar with some of the features such as the ability to backup your apps to your device and a few cloud services such as Dropbox, Google Drive, and several others. Having said that, a few other goodies stand out on this app, such as the ability to backup and restore from/to PC, you can share your apps via GMail, Facebook, and many others, and last but not least, you do not need root.
The dev is looking for some feedback and recommendations for his app. So, if you were looking for an alternative to Titanium Backup and want to help out the dev, now is a good time to grab it.
It aims to be a wide collection of tool to handle your apps.
