Sometimes, for however short amount of time it may be on for, it’s nice to be greeted by your phone by a potentially awesome boot animation. Now, that’s all well and good, but getting the boot animation onto your phone and setting it to run is usually best done with an app. I’m sure there are an array of different boot animation applications on the market. However, here at XDA we like to support budding developers in what they love to do. So, that being said, say hello to Bootanimation Utility by XDA member arayray.
The app is only developed up to version 1.0.2, but despite that, after installing the provided apk onto my device and downloading “CM7″, one of the four available animations (out of CM7, CM7 Big bang, Green Honeycomb and Blue Honeycomb), I found it to work very well considering its early stage.
Backing up your current animation is easy to do with the click of a button, as is importing an animation. The system seems to be very streamlined. But don’t forget, you will need a rooted device for this to work.
