Mod Your EVO LTE Custom ROM with Short Order Kitchen

Even though it’s not real development, ROM kitchens can be quite handy to individual users who wish to spice up their personal ROMs. By being able to add a tweak here or a mod there, users won’t have to switch ROMs just because they’re missing one feature they consider to be important. For the HTC EVO 4G LTE, there is a new kitchen called Short Order Kitchen that’s looking to fill that role.
Brought to our forums by XDA Senior Member kf2m, the kitchen is more built for adding mods to your individual ROM rather than for building ROMs to release to the public. As kf2m explains:
This is a very simple kitchen for doing some quick mods to a ROM.
How many times you have a favorite ROM that you add some tweaks to it before flashing?
Then have to do it again when a new release comes out. Not fun.
This partially automates that task. It is written as a batch file. Yes, good old MS-DOS batch. Very simple, and in Windows 7 quite powerful. Everything is easily laid out, and menu-driven. The batch file is documented, and module so you can tailor it to your needs. It is portable with some changes to support your specific ROM, but in general supports most HTC Evo 4G LTE ICS ROM’s.
To use, simply download and unpack the zip file, and follow a few instructions and run the script—nothing too complicated. For now, there is limited support, but additional features could be added in the future. To learn more, check out the original thread.
