Well, I guess it sometimes happens. There are rather tricky people out there in the world who make this internet of ours a place where you need to ensure that your eyes are not deceiving you. You may recall an article that came to light yesterday regarding the successful hacking of Motorola’s keys that protect the bootloader. I am sad that I need to make a re-print of my article as this turned out to be a hoax. My only refuge is that even Motorola thought that this guy was the real deal and sent their legal department to him. Thanks to XDA member Koush, who was skeptic from the start, we now know that he was correct all along. I guess we should think twice about the validity of something like this when the father of CWM tells you that this is a lie.
I would like to use this opportunity to stress the importance of you guys and gals letting us (the News Writer team) know about events going on within our community. We are a small group and rely a lot on the good members of xda who suggest content to us, simply because the forum is too large and we are not omniscient. So, we thank you all for the continued support of the Portal and we look forward to your help to bring the best of the community into the spotlight!
