Motorola Motoluxe Gets ClockworkMod Recovery

It’s always exciting when a device gets rooted, because afterward, the real work can begin. Not that one can’t flash ROMs and kernels without a custom recovery, but having one does make the job easier. The Motorola Motoluxe now has its own port of the popular ClockworkMod Recovery.
XDA Senior Member luxxx123 has posted up a version of CWM for the relatively unknown Motorola device. The installation is rather simple. Just download the APK posted and install. From there, you should have an app that will take you to recovery. There are a few peculiarities with this method though, which include not being able to get into recovery unless you’re charging or are connected to a computer.
Aside from the issues, the recovery works as expected. The big bug, though, is that it currently doesn’t restore Nandroid backups correctly. Given how useful having a complete backup is, we encourage users to be careful when using this recovery for the time being. In addition to the standard recovery, luxxx123 has also posted a method for getting a temporary recovery for one-time uses.
