It seems that most people cannot make their minds about what to run on their devices. Some like roms that are stable and reliable even if it means going back a version or 2. Others lean towards the bleeding edge that comes out almost daily in this site. If you are among these poor souls, you should definitely check out the mod created by XDA member nobodyAtall for the Sony Ericsson x10 Mini. This will allow people using CWM to boot into different images that are stored in the SD card of the device. According to the dev, you must have a a fairly quick storage card with plenty of space as each image will take over 400 MB of space.
This is still very experimental but the dev has provided a good set of instructions, which should make the process relatively simple. Please leave some feedback if you try this out.
This thread describes an experimental mod that allows you to boot into other boot images stored in your sdcard. It’s a good reason for users to upgrade to CWM recovery since it allows for much more extended functionality. It’s also another good reason for devs to support CWM recovery.
Our ‘petit’ X10mini does not have enough internal memory to store more than one android image, thus we have to use the sdcard for this.
You can find more information in the application thread.
