Musikr Gets Overhaul, New UI and Tablet Support

A little while ago, we highlighted a musical quiz app for Android that based its questions off the songs in your music library. The game itself is pretty simple, as it chooses a song at random, plays a random part of it, then grabs the title of a few other songs and stacks em all together. While simple in theory, in practice it can get quite ridiculous, especially if you have a lot of songs on your device.

Created by XDA Recognized Developer moikop, the first version of the game was playable but had a few bugs that needed ironing out. Additionally, it didn’t support tablets. These issues, among others, were addressed and fixed in version 2.

Version 2.0 starts out with a complete overhaul of both the UI and the code. The interface is much prettier, and even offers tablet support. And the new code base alleviates some of the bug problems users have been having. It also adds a new feature to play the track in question from a random point as opposed to starting off at the beginning. When added to the existing 3 game modes and fun premise, the game looks and feels more stable and streamlined than version 1.0 did. If you’ve not tried it, it’s free to play, as it’s a nice way to test your and your friends’ musical knowledge.
