It’s always fun to watch the development of something from the ground up. Installing it when it’s not much more than a mere shell of an application or ROM, and then flashing the final product to see how far it has come since its earliest testing. One thing that users usually don’t get this experience with is video games, as testing doesn’t really happen until everything is in place. However, XDA community members now have a rare opportunity to help test a RPG game before completion.
XDA Senior Member Sh4itan is building a game currently called Project Eldina. The game itself is far from done, as the campaign still needs to be implemented. However, anyone who wants to test it can still try out a number of features, including:
create a hero
browse through some text
view your hero statistics
go out for random quests
navigate on totally random created 2D maps
English/German language support
There’s still a lot of stuff to be added to the game, but it’s still cool that testers are able to have access to the game this early on in the development. Additionally, Sh4itan is taking ideas on how to make the game better and other features to include. A group of people creating a paper and pencil game; why do the words Dungeon Master ring out so clearly?
