You’re sitting in a quiet library, quaintly reading a pleasant novel while sipping some coffee. Then, your phone startles you, and everyone else, with it’s more often than not, embarrassing ringtone that you always forget to put on silent. People glare at you as your face turns red while you cheekily answer the phone with self-conscious whispers. Has that ever happened to you? Well, now you can avoid such situations with Intelligent Ringer.
Developed by XDA Forum Member soulreaver1, Intelligent Ringer aims to adjust the ringtone volume based on the amount of noise level of the environment the phone is in. It does this by analyzing the amount of sounds with the phone’s camera microphone and adjusting the ringtone volume down for when all’s quiet (such as a library), or higher during situations when it’ll be hard to hear the ringtone (i.e. a party). Users can adjust the sensitivity and accuracy of the microphone, the minimum and maximum volume, among other settings available. Intelligent Ringer also changes the volume when it detects the phone in your pocket thanks to the proximity sensor.
Soulreaver1 most definitely developed a very useful and practical app, which helps you avoid embarrassing situations and awkward moments. Intelligent Ringer is compatible with devices running Android versions 2.3 and newer, and can be downloaded for free from the Play store.
