Popup notifications are extremely useful. Immediate alerts of new notifications and providing options such as ‘dismiss’ or ‘reply’ isn’t a concept that’s revolutionary or new. Seen on the iPhone for most of it’s life, and seeing itself on the Android through third party apps such as SMS Notifier and SMS Enhancer, it now sees itself through another app that’s popped up in the XDA Forums called Notify Me!
Developed by XDA Senior Member TpmKranz, Notify Me! is simple and practical in concept. Its purpose is to alert you of new notifications on your Android device with a convenient popup window that hovers over your lock screen. The settings user interface is straightforward, allowing users to choose which apps to be notified, with an additional option to popup notifications that only contain certain user-defined keywords. The options provided with the popup include to view the notification or dismiss it, and depending on your Android version, there is also an expand and collapse option.
Although nothing revolutionary, Notify Me! is simple, practical, serves a necessary and welcomed function. Compatible with Android versions Froyo and newer, Notify Me! is ad-free and free of charge exclusively on the XDA forums. The download link and more details can be found in the original thread._________
