Here’s some good news for new Android users, in particular new owners of the Samsung Captivate.  For those of you who want root, it just gets easier and easier!

XDA forum member TGA_Gunnman has posted his One-Click Root application for Windows PC users. The app copies over the rooted-update.zip then reboots your Android device.  All you have to do then is follow the instructions in the cmd prompt.

Future developments include being able to do a one-click unroot.

Requires .NET Framework 4.0.

The app has been tested on stock Android 2.1 (Eclair) only.
