Onscreen Buttons for Unrooted Devices with Button Savior

There are many reasons as to why users of Android devices would prefer onscreen buttons such as back, home, and menu, over their physical or capacitive counterparts. The physical buttons may be broken or the capacitive touch may not register are just a few reasons among countless others. For these users, mods can be installed for onscreen buttons, but root access is usually needed, which is why Button Savior is here.

Independently developed by XDA Senior Member jerryfan2000, Button Savior offers onscreen buttons for users who do not have root access on their devices. The app emulates actions of the main Back, Home and Recent Task functionality of physical and capacitive buttons, but also the power button, camera, and call key. The buttons can be triggered either with a gesture or a simple press, and they can also be set to be permanently open or auto-hidden. Jerryfan2000 has also provided eleven different themes to choose from.

Button Savior works with Android versions 4.1 and newer and can be downloaded for free from either the original thread or the play store. For more details and a more comprehensive list of functions and features, check out the original thread.
