Open Source Spy Camera App Helps Take Secret Pictures

Spy camera Android apps can be pretty fun under the right conditions. On today’s Internet, a witty caption over a sly photo taken of your friend doing something hilariously stupid could be the next Good Guy Greg. It could happen. There is now an open source spy camera application that is not only free to use, but fun to use.
XDA Forum Member jimmod has released Spy Camera OS. The OS stands for open source. It was conceived when jimmod couldn’t find any decent spy camera applications and decided to make one. The features include:
- Small size application
– Fast capture
– Back/front camera
– Auto shot with delay setting
– Face detection auto shot
– Blank the screen
– Open source
The face detection auto shot is definitely one of the most excellent ways to catch someone at their least ready. There are also a list of planned features, which include zoom and human detection. Also, jimmod has invited anyone who wants to help make the app better submit code to the source. While spy camera apps are definitely a niche market, it doesn’t mean that one can’t have community support.
Do keep in mind the law before using. If your country has laws against taking secret pictures or not having a shutter sound, then you probably shouldn’t use this application. For more details, check out the original thread.
