OpenBuildProp Project Helps Organize the World of Android

Many modifications done on Android devices involve modifying the build.prop. Whether it’s configuring LCD density, or simply changing the build name, build.prop is a key piece in the war against the shackles of OEM’s. Okay, so maybe things haven’t escalated to the point of full scale riots yet, but the reality is that modifying devices is becoming an increasingly daunting task. The more devices and versions of Android are released, the larger the variation between device configurations grows.
Thanks to XDA Senior Member 0xD34D, users can assist developers with future modifications and data compilation with his latest application OpenBuildProp (Project). Simply open the application on your device, and hit the “submit build.prop” button to have a copy of your build.prop uploaded to a central location.
The point of all this according to the application is to:
Create a comprehensive and open database of device build props with the help of the community.
If you’re interested in contributing to the database, head on over to the original thread and give this a spin. Those interested in having a look at the existing database content, head on over to the dev’s website here.
