Fancy overclocking your Nook Color to 1.3GHz+? Tired of the speaker not being loud enough? Well you might want to try out XDA forum member dalingrin‘s Nook Color Tweak App.
Current features of the app are below, although the dev hopes to add more features to the app later.
- CPU speed per stepping. Allows you to overclock as much or as little as you want.
- Headphone analog gain.
- External speaker analog gain
- DAC gain
The OMAP CPU has 5 OPPs available and the app allows you to change the clock rate for each of those OPPs at runtime. The app also helps to reduce hiss and noise on your headphones by adjusting he DAC volume and headphone analog gain.
The Nook Color Tweak app makes low level changes in the driver to increase volume helping to ensure that audio quality versus hardware level changes remain balanced.
The app is available to download free in the Market. For further information, head on over to the application thread.
