While the framework and patches that make up the bulk of PDroid’s functionality on the back-end are still required and unchanged, FFU5y’s application is an open-source (hurray!) alternative to the front-end that allows users to control their applications’ access settings for better privacy management. The application is in alpha state and FFU5y is looking for feedback. However, it is functional. And with some patience, it can be a valuable tool for power users.
Having tested it out on my Galaxy Nexus I can say that while there are a few hiccups, the overall application is smooth and does what it sets out to do. Of course, if you’re interested in supporting an excellent open-source application, head on over to the original thread and give this a go. Don’t forget to submit reports on any bugs you may find!_________
