Most themes carry a standard template. Modifying the drawable files in the SystemUI.apk and Framework-res.apk and creating something good looking and unique. Some themes are more like modifications and make unique changes to the phone itself.
As is the case with XDA Senior Member black_jackss, who has create a modification for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Active and Ray that will take the clock in the notification pane and move it from the right side to the center.
The process is pretty straightforward, but involves some knowledge of read/write settings and ADB so if you’re not comfortable with those, then you should try to read up before attempting. The method:
1.Pull SystemUI.apk from / system / app / in the internal memory, copy to sdcard, then copy to your PC.
2.Open SystemUI.apk using WinRAR, go to the folder \ res \ layout \.
3.Drag n drop status_bar.xml who have downloaded earlier into the SystemUI.apk already opened earlier.
4.Close WinRAR, SystemUI.apk is ready to be injected to ur phone via root explorer or adb, whichever u like, keep in mind that set permission to rw-r–r–
And voila! The clock will be moved to the center of the notification pane. Black_jackss notes:
dont mind the launcher,i use modded launcher to make it looks like that. And your statusbar icons will NOT changed like mine.
So if you want your own custom stuff like that, you’ll have to look elsewhere. Anyone who wants to try it can find the modification in its original thread along with screen shots and download links._________
