Classes can get pretty crazy, and the timetable committee certainly doesn’t help. This adversity that all students inevitably suffer at one point in life can at least be alleviated to an extent by the neighborhood-friendly, modern day smartphone and a wide choices of apps, many of which have been covered here on the XDA Portal. Windows Phone 7 users, for example, have Power Planner. Android users can use Timetablr to get their classes sorted. And these are just a few of the available options.
Among this ample selection is Planner, a new app by XDA Recognized Contributor Chris95X8. The app packs the expected features in any timetable app such as schedules for classes and lectures, rooms, and teachers and professors. However, Planner goes beyond to pack with a couple other nifty functions. You can keep up on your homework, assignments, and exams, as well as set personalized reminders for them so you won’t have to blame the family dog, keep track your absences, and auto-mute your device when classes start.
Additionally, Planner presents all this in a pleasantly minimal and well polished Holo-themed UI, organizing these features in a way which does not clutter or complicate your experience. Tablet users will also be glad to hear that there is tablet support. Furthermore, Chris95X8 has plans to introduce widgets, double schedules (i.e. week A/B), and synchronization across multiple devices and with Google Calendar in the future.
If you’d like to get your classes in order, be sure to check out Planner at its original thread for more information and download._________
