Prefer Black Above White? Get a Black Keyboard for your Droid X

One special feature of the Droid X’s software keyboard is the multi touch function. This really helps a lot when it comes to fast typing. However, you might be bored with the standard white ”old-fashioned” keyboard. Personally, I like white very much – as most of you probably know – but you might just prefer a black keyboard. XDA member yourfriendwayned created a skin for the keyboard of your Droid X to fit other dark themes. One nice addition is the red Droid eye functioning as the voice level meter.

Alright, so I was bored and feeling productive… as you see that is a good thing! I have redone the original Droid X multi touch keyboard to a better black version with a special Droid Eye style voice level meter (that works so well!) This version only has been tested on the Droid X 2.2 Deodexed Rom so feel free to test it for your own device – I will go ahead and tell you how to load this on your device below….

So, make sure you have a Deodexed ROM with Froyo running on your Droid X before trying this out. The thread contains a step-to-step guide to install the skin, so check it out!
